Arcot Hall’s Andy Ross claimed the final title of the Northumberland Union of Golf Clubs season, winning the Fenwick-Smith Trophy at Gosforth Golf Club.
Tied with City of Newcastle’s Phil Ridden after a one under-par round of 68, Andy birdied the second sudden-death playoff hole to get his hands on the trophy.
Meanwhile, Morpeth’s Sandy Twynholm, Newcastle United’s Mark Wharton and Westerhope’s Cameron Thoburn shot rounds of 69 to finish third.
