Durham City’s Alex Robinson lifted the Durham County Golf Union’s Matchplay Championship trophy following a thrilling final with John Kennedy.
With the final stages delayed from earlier this season, the players returned to Durham City to complete the event, with Alex overcoming clubmate Jack Richardson 4&3 in their semi-final as Consett-based John beat Beamish Park’s Tom Skelton 3&2.
In the final, Alex made home advantage count as he beat county stalwart John 5&4 to claim the trophy.
