Wyndham Clark wins his second US Open as three Yorkshiremen finish in the top 25

Wyndham Clark lifted the US Open trophy for the second time at Shinnecock Hills as three Yorkshiremen finished in the top 25 at the third men’s major championship of 2026.

Wyndham led wire-to-wire as he won the event with a four under-par total – including an opening round of 64 and a closing three over-par round of 73. American Sam Burns finished one shot back in second place, while Tom Kim claimed third place with a one under-par total.

The week was a solid one for Yorkshiremen John Parry (T11), Matt Fitzpatrick (22nd), and Alex Fitzpatrick (T23) as they joined fellow Englishmen Tyrrell Hatton (T7), Justin Rose (T11), Aaron Rai (T11) and Tommy Fleetwood (T11) in the top 25.
