Women’s Golf Day set to return May 26-June 2

Women’s Golf Day (WGD) returns May 26-June 2 as the event looks to continue its 11-year mission of engaging, empowering and supporting women and girls through golf while uniting the golf industry around its golf is for everyone message.

Since its launch in 2016, Women’s Golf Day has grown into a global movement embraced by more than 1,350 golf facilities, resorts, governing bodies, brands, instructors, retailers and communities across more than 85 countries.

Through a simple and effective event model, WGD has helped facilities worldwide create welcoming experiences that introduce thousands of women and girls to the game every year.

As women continue to represent golf’s fastest-growing participation segment, WGD’s role in helping facilities successfully attract and retain female golfers has become increasingly important to the future growth of the industry. According to the National Golf Foundation, there are now more than 8million female golfers in the United States, representing a record 28% of all on-course golfers, and female participation has increased 46% since 2019.

For 11 years, WGD has gone beyond simply promoting women’s participation in golf. The organisation provides facilities with the tools, structure and support needed to host successful events that are welcoming, approachable and easy to execute. The in-person events are coupled with digital and social media activation, with the 2025 event generating 406million impressions.

“Women’s Golf Day was built on the belief that growing the game requires more than awareness – it requires action, collaboration and support from the entire industry,” said Women’s Golf Day founder Elisa Gaudet. “We wanted to create a platform that made it easy for facilities around the world to participate while giving women and girls a positive first experience with golf. WGD was created to unite the golf industry around a single, powerful message – that golf is for women and girls everywhere,”
