Callaway has announced the latest addition to the Big Bertha family – the new Big Bertha irons and hybrids, which will be available in March 2019.
The new irons feature a suspended energy core, a new construction which sees a floating tungsten weight suspended in Callaway’s urethane microsphere material to allow engineers to position the centre of gravity deeper in the head to promote higher launch. The technology is added to the 360 Face Cup design, which creates a shallow, flexible rim around the perimeter of the face to deliver longer ball flights. A smoked PVD finish complements the clean look of the new irons.
The Big Bertha hybrid, available in 3H-8H, is the first Callaway hybrid to combine Jailbreak technology, which incorporates two internal bars that stiffen the body for fast ball speeds, and adjustability courtesy of a new OptiFit hosel system.
