Warkworth’s men’s team successfully defended the North Northumberland Golf League trophy after a season of inter-club matches.

The Warkworth team topped the league for a second year in a row with 105 points from their 12 matches as Dunstanburgh finished second and Rothbury’s team finished third.

Meanwhile, Linden Hall’s team led the Members League, played with handicaps, as Wooler finished second and Alnwick Castle claimed third place.

In the Glendale Trophy – which sees five-player teams compete in scratch knockout matches throughout the season – the Magdalene Fields team lifted the trophy following a 3-2 victory over Dunstanburgh Castle at Alnmouth Village.
