Top 100 Golf Courses has updated its rankings for counties across our region, with the full English rankings set to be released on April 26.
The North East’s top three courses in the updated rankings are Goswick in Northumberland, Seaton Carew (Micklem) in Durham, and Dunstanburgh Castle in Northumberland.
Goswick and Dunstanburgh Castle lead the Northumberland top five, which also includes Close House’s Colt Course in third, Hexham in fourth, and Newbiggin in fifth.
Seaton Carew leads the Durham list and is followed by Rockliffe Hall, Brancepeth Castle, Hartlepool, and Wynyard.
In Tyne & Wear, The Northumberland leads the rankings, with Whitley Bay in second place, and Tyneside third.
Meanwhile in Yorkshire – Ganton leads the way followed by Alwoodley, Moortown, Lindrick, Hallamshire, Fulford, Sand Moor, Cleveland, Pannal, Huddersfield, Headingley, York, Halifax, Ilkley, and Woodsome Hall.
The Cumbria list is headed by Silloth on Solway, with Seascale second, Appleby third, Windermere fourth, and Brampton fifth.
