Titleist introduces new Vokey Design SM11 wedges for 2026

The next generation of Titleist’s Vokey Design wedges – the SM11 model – has been unveiled. Engineered to provide precise flight and distance control, exceptional feel and maximum spin, the SM11’s performance improvements are combined with an industry-leading number of loft, bounce and grind combinations.

The SM11 family (SRP £179 (Steel), £194 (Graphite), £219 (Raw)) brings together design technologies focused on master craftsman Bob Vokey’s three keys to great wedge play – contact, flight and spin.

To promote better contact and shot versatility, SM11 features the most complete lineup of loft, bounce and grind combinations in the game.

To finetune ball flight, SM11 features more precise centre of gravity positioning, identical across grinds within a given loft. Three progressive CG placements from the lower to higher lofts dial in flight and distance control throughout the set.

To maximise spin performance, SM11 offers three shot-specific groove shapes, 5% larger groove volume, and a new directional face texture designed together to increase stopping power and spin control consistency.

The SM11 wedges are offered in three finishes – Tour Chrome, Nickel and a new Jet Black finish, and can be custom ordered in a Raw finish.

The Vokey SM11 lineup is comprised of 27 unique configurations of six tour-proven grinds – F, S, M, D, K and T.

The .06K Grind, which was used to win the PGA Championship and The Open Championship in 2025, will be in the SM11 lineup at launch (58.06K, 60.06K). The .06K provides an alternative low-bounce lob wedge option to the in-line T Grind (58.04T, 60.04T).

New to the lineup is the 44.10F – for golfers who prefer the performance and profile of a Vokey pitching wedge but require a stronger loft to properly gap their set.

The higher-bounce K Grind lob wedge (58.12K, 60.12K) now features 12 degrees of bounce, having measured at 14 degrees previously. The .12K Grind has the same effective bounce as the .12D Grind, but the two grinds feature different sole designs targeted at different playing styles and course conditions.

In previous Vokey wedge designs, CG positions varied slightly across grinds within the same loft due to differences in sole widths and geometries. In the SM11 lineup, engineers worked to create identical CG placements within a given loft, independent of grind. This allows for consistent flight and feel while eliminating a variable in the fitting process.

For lower-lofted wedges (44-52 degrees), the CG is positioned lower and closest to face centre for a smooth transition from a player’s iron set and to eliminate excessive draw movement on full shots. In the higher-lofted wedges (58-60 degrees), CG is higher and more heel-ward, producing a lower flight and a squarer clubface. Sand wedge lofts (54-56 degrees) have a CG position that sits between the two.

Similar to its progressive CG, the lineup has three distinct groove shapes which vary based on loft. Lob wedge lofts (58-60) feature wider and shallower grooves to better channel debris around the greens and on partial shots, whereas pitching and gap wedge lofts (44-52) feature narrower and deeper grooves for better performance on full-swing shots. Bridging the gap between designs is the groove profile on lofts 54-56.

SM11’s Spin Milled grooves feature 5% more volume than SM10’s grooves due to improvements in manufacturing and tighter tolerances. This helps to clear more debris and retain spin, especially from the rough or in wet conditions.

SM11 also features a new directional face texture which provides increased friction and prolonged ball contact. More time with the ball on the club face allows SM11’s grooves to impart more reliable spin control on delicate greenside shots. The texture, angled towards the leading edge, also protects the scorelines and keeps groove edges clean and consistent.

Vokey’s Spin Milled wedges also undergo a high-frequency heat treatment applied directly to the impact area, doubling the durability of the groove edge compared to untreated grooves.
