Titleist has unveiled a new addition to its metalwood lineup – the GT280.
First spotted at Kapalua during the opening event of the 2025 PGA Tour season, the new mini-driver is a direct result of Titleist’s collaboration with players on the development and testing of the TSR 2W prototype, which was first available at last year’s Players Championship. With many players seeking an additional option at the top end of their setup, Titleist tour reps and engineers worked with players such as Cameron Young and Will Zalatoris to dial in a 13-degree head that worked as a go-to club off the tee and fairway.
Collaborating with the game’s best players throughout the research and development process, then earning their final validation, is part of the Titleist development process and further details on the GT280 are expected in the coming months.
