Tim Dykes produced two more superb rounds at Westerhope Golf Club to successfully defend the Sunderland of Scotland Masters title he won 12 months ago.
Penrith-based Tim led the field in the 36-hole North East & North West PGA event with back-to-back three under-par rounds of 69 as James Wilson and Tom Robson finished a tie for second place a shot back.
With the win, Tim moved up 10 spots to third place in the Mizuno Order of Merit as James and Tom maintained their first and second place positions respectively.
The next event in this season’s order of merit, the NE/NW PGA Championship, takes place at Tyneside Golf Club on July 31.
