The R&A has announced the 12 golfers who will compete in the Last-Chance Qualifier at Royal Birkdale on Monday July 13 – including Andrew Wilson and Joe Dean.
The final place in The 154th Open will be on offer as players compete over 18 holes of strokeplay starting at 7.30am to determine the winner. In the event of a tie after 18 holes, a playoff will take place.
The field has been determined by the criteria previously announced in December last year and will include the following golfers who have accepted invites to compete – Andrew, Joe, Aldrich Potgieter, Matti Schmid, Matt Moloney (a), Sam Easterbrook (a), Adri Arnaus, John Gough, Angel Hidalgo, Charles Huntzinger, Marcus Helligkilde, and Wesley Bryan.
The field is subject to change between now and the Last-Chance Qualifier starting on Monday July 13, and the draw will be announced on Saturday July 11. The 154th Open will be played at Royal Birkdale on July 16-19.
