The Northumberland Golf Club raises £9,153 for charity

Fundraising activities at The Northumberland Golf Club have helped two national charities as well as a North East-based charity.

Members raised £9,153 under the leadership of club captains Alison Moodie and Ally MacDonald – with the money set to go to Alzheimer’s Research, Myeloma Research UK, and US Active.

Activities at the club over the last nine months included a coffee morning with a raffle, and monthly prize draws, while a shirt signed by Newcastle United player Dan Burn was auctioned off. The club also hosted a Grand Open Charity Golf Day.

Alison said: “Many charities have struggled with decreased funds since covid, so Ally and I are extremely proud of what we have raised with the help and generosity of our members and some local businesses. It’s great to support charities that have touched the lives of so many of our members.”
