The Teesside & District Union of Golf Clubs’ six-man team lifted the Yorkshire Inter-District Union Team Championship trophy at Rudding Park.
The team of James Rogers (68-73), Dan Norman (70-70), Stephen Fox (71-74), Wayne Hewitt (71-75), Archie Palmer (73-70) and Steven Wilson (82-71) led the field in the 51st Men’s Team Championship with a nine under-par total of 711 (five scores from six counting in each of the two rounds). The Sheffield team finished two shots back in second place, as the Harrogate union finished third.
The individual standings were led by Adam Denton (Sheffield) and Bailey Hird (Leeds) with six under-par totals.
