TaylorMade has unveiled its 2026 Tour Response golf ball family, featuring revolutionary microcoating technology and new colourway options for the Tour Response Stripe.
The defining enhancement for the 2026 Tour Response golf balls (RRP £37.99 per dozen) is the introduction of microcoating – a precision-engineered coating technology also used in TaylorMade’s latest TP5 and TP5x golf balls.
Across the golf ball industry, traditional finishing processes can produce microscopic inconsistencies in the application of paint to the ball’s surface, which could result in excess pooling of paint in the dimples. While imperceptible to the naked eye, tiny variations can affect aerodynamic properties and impact ball flight. TaylorMade engineers developed microcoating – which applies an ultrathin, uniform paint layer across the ball’s entire surface – to push beyond these limitations and achieve a new standard of coating precision.
Meanwhile, the new Tour Response Stripe golf balls (RRP £39.99 per dozen) feature the same technology and introduce new Clear and Mint colourways.
The balls feature TaylorMade’s 360° ClearPath Alignment Stripe – a continuous digital band designed to help golfers eliminate guesswork and aim consistently on the green and off the tee.
The Clear colourway delivers a modern yet subtle design that enhances alignment without the visual distraction of a colour block. Mint brings a soft look that maximises visibility and ball tracking.
The technology in the new balls also includes the Speed Wrapped Core – a soft inner core wrapped in a progressively firmer outer layer. This dual-core construction generates fast ball speed off the driver while maintaining soft compression for enhanced feel and control with short-irons and wedges.
The high-flex SpeedMantle layer between the core and cover enhances ball speed at impact while preserving soft feel. The mantle’s elastic properties allow for flexion during compression, generating velocity.
The Tour Flight Dimple Pattern is optimised to promote a penetrating ball flight with reduced drag. Strategic dimple placement and depth create stable aerodynamics that maintain performance across varying wind conditions while working in concert with microcoating to deliver consistent flight characteristics.
Finally, the 100% cast urethane cover provides greater greenside spin while delivering responsive feel and durability.
