Srixon Z-STAR 2025

Srixon unveils ninth generation Z-STAR golf balls

Srixon has announced details of the ninth iteration of its Z-STAR golf balls, which have been engineered to deliver longer distance, optimised spin, and tour-level stopping power.

The latest Z-STAR Series – which includes the Z-STAR as well as the XV, Diamond and Divide variants – features a newly formulated, extra thin urethane cover which has been designed to withstand all conditions faced on the course, ensuring each ball maintains its performance throughout a round.

New technology can also be found in the Spin Skin+ coating – a thin layer of urethane that increases the cover’s friction to deliver enhanced spin on approach shots and around the greens.

The new FastLayer DG Core 2.0 – made up of three unique formulas – is at the heart of each ball in the range. Starting soft at the centre and gradually firming from the inside out, the core design ensures optimum spin and distance while delivering the feel players expect from a Srixon ball. The technology also enables optimal core evolution for each model, differentiating the ball options further.

All four models (RRP £48.99 per dozen) feature Srixon’s 338 Speed Dimple Pattern, which creates less drag and more lift.

The primary Z-STAR ball features reduced compression at the centre of its already soft core, minimising driver spin for increased distance, and is available in white and yellow.

The Z-STAR XV features added firmness partway through the core, and boosts ball speed for greater distance and improved iron spin. It is also available in white and yellow.

The Z-STAR Diamond has a slightly firmer core and reduced compression, minimising driver spin to produce greater distance off the tee.

Finally, the Divide model offers players greater visibility on the course with its two-tone yellow and white design.
