Simon Robinson led the field in the North East & North West PGA’s Hexham pro am supported by Q Finance.
Close House-based Simon topped the leaderboard with a six under-par score of 42 points – including playing the first five holes in five under-par – as Jonathan Richardson (Hexham) and former world number one Lee Westwood (Close House) finished three shots back in a tie for second place.
In the team event, Simon and amateurs David Arthur, Nigel Porter and Graeme Dunn led the way with a 19 under-par score of 91 points.
