Seaton Carew Golf Club hosted a charity golf day which raised more than £40,000 to help make a difference to the lives of young people in the North East.
The first UchangeLives Golf Day was organised by the PFC Trust, a Hartlepool-based charity, in collaboration with the North East STEM Foundation – with the money set to be divided between the two organisations.
The winning team, from Verso Financial Management, won a four-day stay at next year’s Open Championship at Royal Portrush – and was led by Seaton captain Phil Cain.
The funds raised will help the PFC Trust continue its work supporting people and organisations in the area, while the North East STEM Foundation will use its share of the proceeds to promote educational opportunities for young people in STEM subjects.
