Woodsome Hall-based Ruby McLellan, who is a freshman at Lincoln Memorial University, earned a place in the NCAA Division II Women’s National Championship following a standout performance at Cleveland Country Club.

Ruby, competing as part of the Railsplitters’ women’s golf team, finished in a tie for fifth place with a five over-par total of 218 (76-73-72) in the NCAA Division II South Regional, and came through a playoff to earn one of the region’s individual qualifying spots and advance to the NCAA Division II Women’s National Championship – which takes place on May 12-14 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
