Cobra has unveiled its latest range – KING F8 – with new drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and irons available from February 2018. The KING F8 and F8+ drivers are the first to feature a precision milled forged titanium face, which we’re told provides unrivalled precision, weight savings and performance gains while being 3% thinner and 10% lighter. The F8 driver has a larger profile, a carbon-fibre crown and two adjustable weight positions while the F8+ is smaller and does not feature the second draw-biased weight position.
The two new fairway woods include progressive rail heights to improve turf interaction as well as the aerodynamic improvements seen in the new drivers. A larger profile, carbon-fibre crown and back weight all help promote a higher flight.
Two new hybrid designs have also taken on performance enhancements from the drivers while being available in a new, sleeker design with a skinnier hosel and lower centre of gravity to improve launch. The F8 One Length hybrid is built to the same length, lie and swing weight as a seven-iron and is available alongside the standard F8 hybrid.
The new F8 irons feature PWRSHELL face technology for improved speed and launch, carbon feel technology which dampens vibrations for better feel, and performance tailored to each iron while also being available in the One Length configuration.
