Rockliffe Hall appoints new director of golf & estates

Callum Nicoll has joined Rockliffe Hall as director of golf & estates.

Callum will oversee the resort’s award-winning 18-hole championship golf course. Designed by Hawtree, the course is set on the 375-acre Rockliffe Hall estate on the banks of the River Tees.

With more than 20 years in the professional golf industry, Callum spent nine years in the Middle East, where he was a senior team member hosting three Abu Dhabi HSBC Championships. He joins Rockliffe from his most recent position as director of golf at London Golf Club, where he was responsible for a 36-hole course delivering 44,000 rounds per year. He has also held senior golf positions at Turnberry Hotel’s Golf Resort & Spa, Prestwick Golf Club, The Els Club Dubai and Abu Dhabi Golf Club.

“Rockliffe Hall is an incredible estate with world-class facilities and is renowned for its championship golf course. I am thrilled to be leading Rockliffe Hall on the next part of its golfing journey. Alongside my first-class and hardworking team, we have high goals for the future and in the meantime look forward to welcoming both existing players and those new to the sport.” said Callum.

Jason Adams, managing director of Rockliffe Hall, added: “I am delighted to welcome Callum to our senior team. He shows a great amount of passion, knowledge, and experience in his field of golf. With his appointment, I am confident we will only drive Rockliffe Hall even further towards meeting the very highest levels of hospitality that our guests visit to experience.”
