Rhys Thompson picked up back-to-back wins on the Tartan Pro Tour, adding the Downfield Masters trophy to his win in the Dundonald Links Classic.
Rhys, who moved to the top of the Tartan Pro Tour order of merit with the win, posted rounds of 67, 68 and 69 for a nine under-par total and two-shot win over Garry Houston as Heworth’s Will Marshall finished in a tie for fifth place.
The back-to-back wins were the first ever on the Tartan Pro Tour, and saw Rhys tie for the most wins on the circuit with four titles.
