Players from across the region earned places in the PGA Professional Championship through the northern qualifying event at Sand Moor Golf Club.
A total of 24 places in The PGA’s flagship event were up for grabs – with the national championship set to take place at Slaley Hall on June 9-12.
Carden Park-based Garry Houston led the field with a three under-par round of 68, as James Freeman (Rotherham) finished second.
Three players – Ross Earnshaw (SR Tykes Golf Academy), Tim Ford (Liverpool Golf Centre) and Oliver Pantoja – finished one under-par to book their places at Slaley Hall.
They will be joined in Northumberland by Steve Robins (Hull), Jason Shufflebotham (Denbigh), Ryan O’Neill (Penwortham), Simon Robinson (Close House), Thomas Rowland (Cleveland), James Whatley (Morley Hayes), Matthew Tottey (North Wales), Thomas Curtis (Spofforth), Richard Pace (Hornsea), Robert Calderbank (Concord Park), David Clark (Morpeth), Joel Preston (Malton & Norton), Aaron Cox (Blackwell Grange), Paul Kinnear (Hurlston Hall), Chris Crowder (Lee Park), Jason Denton (Hartford), Craig Smith (Play to Par Golf Academy), George Cowan (Westerhope), and Aran Wainwright (RGS).
