Ponteland Golf Club is set to host a Ladies Open on June 4 in aid of Maggie’s, with brands including PING, FootJoy, Northern Ball Markers and more supporting the event.
The event will feature a best two from four format, with all scores to count on the three par threes. As well as on-course prizes, there will be a chance to try the latest equipment from PING, have a FootJoy shoe fitting experience, and personalise your own Northern Ball Markers marker. There will also be special discounts in the pro shop and a raffle, with all proceeds going to Maggie’s – a Newcastle-based cancer support charity.
Jen Hillyard, who manages the Ponteland pro shop alongside head professional Chris McDonnell, said: “We’re really excited to host the first Ladies Open since we arrived at Ponteland in November. We’re looking forward to putting on a great day with lots happening on and off the golf course as we look to raise money for a fantastic charity.”
