When you’re pitching, it’s important to continue accelerating with your body – failing to do so will lead to the clubhead overtaking your hands and result in hitting shots fat and thin. A great drill to get the feeling for this is to setup in your stance then throw a golf ball to the target. Your body will naturally rotate to build speed. Having practised this, try hitting shots with the same feeling – the club should feel as though it’s being pulled through to collect the ball as your body turns.
