Teams from across Yorkshire have progressed to the next round of this year’s Club Team Championship following the Fifth Division Championship at Brough.
Phoenix’s team of Mike McGuinness, Carl McGuinness and Dave Purser combined for a 36-hole, three-player total of 29 over-par as Hillsborough’s team of Greg Denton, Adam Denton and Harrison Hall finished second on countback.
The leading seven teams – Phoenix, Hillsborough, Waterfront, Silkstone, Sandburn Hall, Normanton and Beverley & East Riding – will progress to the Fourth Division Championship at Ripon City on June 10, where they will join the 14 teams already qualified for the event from last season.
