TaylorMade grabbed the headlines again at the start of 2020 with the launch of the new SIM family of drivers, fairway woods and hybrids. Already in the hands of tour players around the world, the SIM drivers rely on new geometry to improve on TaylorMade’s previous models. Featuring an asymmetric sole design, the SIM provides better aerodynamics than previous models to increase speed just before impact.
SIM, SIM Max and SIM Max•D drivers feature a raised carbon crown and sole to reduce drag and improve airflow throughout the swing. To counter the higher centre of gravity this creates, a heavy steel weight has been positioned lower and further back in the clubhead. This design moves the centre of gravity projection very low, optimizing launch conditions and increasing MOI to provide additional forgiveness. The drivers also feature TaylorMade’s Twist Face, ultra-thin titanium face and sliding weight technologies.
The range also includes new fairway woods based on the classic V Steel’s sole design, and hybrids available in lofts from 19-31°.
