We’re more than halfway through the golf season, we have new county champions to celebrate with, Matfen Hall has opened its Douglas Course, and Charlotte Naughton has won another huge international event – and that’s all covered before you get to page 12 of the Aug/Sept 2026 edition of Northern Golfer.
Our summer editions are always packed with events, and this year has been particularly good for players from our region. We’ve had a lot of fun catching up with many of them – from junior county champions like Ollie Scott to seniors’ championship winners Steve Anderton and Stu Brown.
We’ve also caught up with Ben Brown for our Cover Interview following his successful defence of the Northumberland County Championship trophy.
Meanwhile, our columnists are all enjoying their summers. Chris Paisley has a new job at the world-renowned Lake Nona, Rosie Belsham is continuing her development as a professional golfer, and Chris Simmons, Chris Kirkland and Shawn O’Neil all share their knowledge with you in this edition.
