The Jun/Jul 2026 edition of Northern Golfer is available in golf clubs and retailers across the region now
The season is in full flow and we already have a lot going on across the region as we look ahead to a packed summer of golf – as you’ll read in the latest edition of Northern Golfer.
Alex Boyes stars on the cover as he moves into his third season representing England on the international stage and looks ahead to attending college in the US.
We’ve also been to Durham City for the Course Profile in this edition, and caught up with Senior Amateur champion John Kennedy in A Round With.
Our columnists are in fine form once again in this edition too – with Chris Paisley continuing to rapidly develop his coaching knowledge as Rosie Belsham finds form in South Africa, Morocco and a little closer to home. Meanwhile, Simon Olver discusses a tough start to the year on the golf course, and Sean Russell shares insights from years of caddying which we can all learn from. Chris Kirkland’s Mind Game column is an absolute must-read for every golfer, while Dean Bailey has taken aim at those who play by their own rules in the 19th Hole column, and Shawn O’Neil looks at how to make the most of your season.
There are a lot of success stories in Teeing Off too – from Charlotte Naughton heading to the Curtis Cup with the GB&I team to county championships, pro wins, a Speedgolf title, and more. We also have details of this year’s Champion of Champions, which takes place at Longhirst on September 13.
Add in nine pages of the latest gear news, a Special Focus on Northumberland, and a chance to win a Blue Tees rangefinder plus rounds at Whitburn and High Gosforth Park, and there is plenty to enjoy.
