Northern Golfer 118 is out now

Northern Golfer #118 (Apr/May 26) out now

The Apr/May 2026 edition of Northern Golfer is available in golf clubs and retailers across the region now

The Players Championship is in the record books, The Masters is just around the corner, the golf season is underway, and the latest edition of Northern Golfer is out now.

Following major changes to their business, not least its name, we tell the story of what is going on at the Northumberland club as it moves into its 30th year and transitions back to one 18-hole golf course in our cover interview.

Meanwhile, we also got the chance to catch up with Jess Hall at Bishop Auckland Golf Club before she begins her first full season as a professional golfer on the LET Access Series, and her Round With interview is full of great insights.

We’ve also paid a visit to High Gosforth Park Golf Club for our Course Profile – where the extensive bunkering project has elevated the course to new heights.

Our columnists are in great form again too. Chris Paisley offers an insight into how to make the most of your practice time, while Rosie Belsham updates us on her trip to South Africa to start her season on the Sunshine Ladies Tour. Simon Olver is also back to explore why greenkeepers carry out spring maintenance and explain why it’s essential, Chris Simmons checks in from China, Chris Kirkland discusses the power of data in Mind Game, Dean Bailey looks at why we should allow players to choose which tees they play off every time they tee it up, and Shawn O’Neil shares three tips to take your winter training into the new season.

Add in packed Teeing Off news pages, a Special Focus on Scotland, eight pages of the latest gear, and the chance to win rounds at Lundin, Bellingham and Warkworth, and there is plenty to enjoy in this edition.
