The October/November 2024 edition of Northern Golfer is available in golf clubs and retailers across the region now
The Oct/Nov edition of Northern Golfer is always an incredibly busy one – and this year’s magazine is no different.
We have three new Champions of Champions to celebrate after Jessica Dorritt, Evan Oliver and Angus Buchanan produced excellent rounds to write their names in the region’s golfing history books.
Elsewhere, Durham’s senior men’s team are heading back to the national finals after winning the northern qualifying event in brutal conditions at City of Newcastle. We’ve also caught up with Charlotte Naughton following a busy summer of events in England and GB&I colours, including making history as part of the first GB&I team to win the Junior Vagliano Trophy. There’s also updates from the region’s best professionals and elite amateurs too, plus a look back at the English Senior Amateur at Brancepeth.
As well as covering lots of news, we’ve also been out and about. We’ve visited the amazing new clubhouse at Matfen Hall, and tried out the state-of-the-art technology in the Golf Lab at The Keepers. We also got to play one of the north’s greatest courses at Silloth on Solway Golf Club for the Course Profile in this edition, and enjoyed a stay at The Inn Collection Group’s Pheasant Inn while we were in Cumbria.
There’s also a round with model Dylan Yau, and we profile five of our favourite places to practice in a Special Focus. Add in expert columns from our regular contributors – including another wonderfully open piece by Chris Paisley in Tour Life – plus three fantastic competitions and lots more, and there’s plenty to keep you entertained in our new edition.
