North East & North West PGA announces packed schedule for 2024

The North East & North West PGA will visit top clubs across Northumberland, Durham, Teesside, Cumbria and beyond in 2024 – as it welcomes leading professionals to its tournaments and teams of amateurs to its pro ams throughout the year.

The association’s tournament schedule begins with the six-event Pro Series in April and May – with 18-hole events at Close House, Brampton, Silloth, Newbiggin, Whitley Bay and Teesside.

The biggest events of the tournament calendar then begin with the NE/NW PGA Championship at Slaley Hall on May 28. Burgham Park will host the historic Northumberland & Durham Open on July 2, before the Tour Championship returns to Brancepeth Castle on September 4. The Heineken Dunstanburgh Classic returns to the schedule on September 17 before the leading players in the season-long Mizuno Order of Merit head back to Slaley Hall to compete for the Matchplay Championship on September 24 & 26.

Highlights of the 2024 pro am schedule include the season-opening trips to Turkey in February and Dundonald Links in April. The association then visits 25 clubs across the region for club pro ams before its final two events of the year take place at Carnoustie in October and Portugal in November.
