Mizuno launches JPX 925 Forged and Pro S-3 irons

Mizuno has launched two new iron models for 2025 – JPX 925 Forged and Pro S-3.

The JPX 925 Forged series (£200 per iron) is centred around the CORTECH Design with its Contour Ellipse Face. This multi-thickness face profile optimises ball speed across the entire surface, boosting performance even on off-centre strikes.

The innovation behind the Contour Ellipse Face required the development of entirely new construction methods combined with Mizuno’s proprietary Grain Flow Forged HD process at its Hiroshima, Japan facility. The long irons (4-7) are crafted from Chromoly 4120, a material known for its exceptional strength and malleability, enabling higher ball speeds and easier adjustability. The shorter irons (8-GW) are forged from 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel, a material that delivers superior control, precision, and the feel Mizuno players expect. The JPX 925 model is also available in a limited-edition black finish (£215 per iron).

Meanwhile, the Pro S-3 irons (£215 per iron) have been designed to provide the feel Mizuno irons are known for through the Grain Flow Forged HD process.

This forging technique is paired with 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel to ensure a soft, responsive feel. The inclusion of a copper underlay further refines vibration patterns.

The Pro S-3 irons feature a thin topline for a tour-preferred aesthetic, while a thin sole enhances versatility. The compact head length adds to the precision and workability, and straighter lines give the irons a clean and modern appearance. To enhance performance further, Mizuno has integrated Triple Cut Sole technology to optimise turf interaction, ensuring consistency and adaptability in every scenario.
