As it prepares to celebrate the opening of its renovated and renamed championship course, The Douglas, on June 27, Matfen Hall has launched a special Golf Stay & Play 3 for 2 offer.
As part of the offer, which is available until September 30, guests that stay two nights in any room category will receive a complimentary third night and unlimited complimentary golf on The Douglas 18-hole championship layout, the nine-hole Dewlaw course, and the par three course.
Over the past year, golf architect James Edwards has worked on nine new green complexes at Matfen Hall – which has been recognised by National Club Golfer at number 39 on its 2026 GB&I Top 100 Resort list and by Golf World at number 66 on its Top 100 Europe Luxury Golf Resort rankings. James has also designed and built a new putting green in the style of St Andrews’ Himalaya green, and helped shape a new practice facility consisting of a 15-bay Toptracer range, golf academy, short-game area, and an all-weather 18-hole putting course – which will open later in the summer along with a new café.
