Seaton Carew-based Martyn Stubbings topped the leaderboard in the North East & North West PGA’s Championship at Teesside Golf Club.
Martyn led the field with rounds of 71 and 67 for a six under-par total and three-shot win over Vince Guest and Craig Goodfellow. Six players – Jonathan Graham, George Cowan, Ross Crowe, Kyle Marklew, Mark Ridley and Simon Robinson – finished in a tie for fourth place.
Meanwhile, the assistants’ championship went to a playoff, repeating the end of the 2025 event as Michael Skelton and Jack McCall finished tied on one under-par after 36 holes. At the first extra hole, a par for was enough for Morpeth Family Golf Centre-based Jack to lift the trophy.
Next up in this year’s Titleist Order of Merit is the Northumberland & Durham Open at Matfen Hall on July 7.
