Having been beaten in the final in each of the last two years, the Longhirst junior team came out on top in this year’s Northumberland Junior Golf League after defeating The Northumberland.
Playing at their home club, the Longhirst team – Ollie Beale, Alexander Dye, Ted Earle, Sam Jobson, Adam Richmond and Kaiden Wright – completed a 7-5 win to lift the trophy.
Both teams won their morning semi-finals after qualifying in the top two spots in Group A – with the Whitley Bay and Morpeth teams also reaching the finals day.
