Huddersfield’s Lily Hirst – winner of last year’s English Women’s Open Stroke Play – collected the first individual win of her college career in the US at the Match in the Desert.
The England women’s squad member and University of Kansas senior won the individual trophy with a three under-par round of 69 on the Prospector Course at Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club in Arizona. Kansas also won the team title for a fourth consecutive year with a two over-par total of 290.
