The Northern Golfer Champion of Champions 2018 events will take place at Ramside Hall this month
The Northern Golfer Champion of Champions events will return to Ramside Hall this September with club champions from around the region set to compete over the Cathedral and Prince Bishops courses.
The ladies and junior events take place on September 15 – entries close September 10. Meanwhile, the men’s event will take place on September 29 with entries closing on September 24.
The three invitational tournaments, which are open to reigning club champions from across the North East and Yorkshire, will again take place at Ramside Hall in Co Durham.
Last season’s events saw Hexham Golf Club’s Joseph Robson lift the junior trophy as Tynemouth Golf Club’s Rebecca Ferguson and Stew Fell lifted the ladies and men’s titles respectively.
Helen Roseberry, director of golf at Ramside Hall, said: “We’re excited to welcome back the Northern Golfer Champion of Champions events across our two wonderful courses this September after an excellent first year. We can’t wait to welcome the best male, female and junior golfers from our region to Ramside for what are sure to be three fantastic tournaments.”
Paul Robertson, editor of Northern Golfer, added: “I would like to thank Ramside Hall for hosting the event.
“The success of the Junior Champion of Champions since 2015 inspired us to develop the idea to incorporate golfers of all ages. The return of the men’s event, which has had many notable champions, and the first ladies event were highlights of last season and we look forward to welcoming more players to Ramside Hall this year.”
Champions from Northumberland, Co Durham and Teesside, and selected clubs in the Scottish Borders, Cumbria and Yorkshire within our circulation area, have been invited to the events. Emails have been sent to club secretaries and JLOs with full details. To enter go to www.northerngolfer.co.uk/champion-of-champions-2018
