James Wilson returned to top form as he led the field of 51 professionals in the North East & North West PGA’s fourth Pro Series event of the season at Castle Eden.
Alnmouth Village-based James – who sits at the top of the season-long Titleist Order of Merit after four events – covered the front nine in just 28 shots and shot 35 on the back nine for a seven under-par round of 63 and a three-shot win over Newbiggin’s Colin Ferguson, as Brampton-based Matty Lamb finished third.
Next up on the NE/NW PGA circuit is the penultimate Pro Series event at Consett & District on May 20.
