James Freeman led the field with an impressive 17 under-par total in the North East & North West PGA Portugal pro am sponsored by PROBIO Energy.
Rotherham-based James topped the leaderboard with scores of 39, 44, 36 and 42 points – giving him a total of 161 points and a five-shot victory over Alex Wrigley. David Clark finished in third place as Jonathan Graham was fourth, and Jack McCall and Mark Ridley finished in a tie for fifth place.
In the team event – Mark and amateurs Mike Bowers, Mark Whittaker and Michael Jopling recovered a 10-shot deficit to win on a countback from Jack’s team with a total of 338 points.
