Workington Golf Club’s Jack Hunter defeated clubmate Will Bowe in a sudden-death playoff to win the Cumbria Union of Golf Clubs’ Strokeplay Championship at Appleby Golf Club.
Jack and Will finished tied on three over-par after 72 holes – with Jack closing with a round of 65 on Sunday – before Jack came through the sudden-death playoff to add the strokeplay trophy to the matchplay one he won at Appleby in 2025.
Jack will go on to represent Cumbria in the men’s County Champion of Champions event at Woodhall Spa in September.
