Rockliffe Hall-based Ian Newell made the long trip to Dorset and Parkstone Golf Club worthwhile as he won the Shankland Trophy.
Ian won the senior men’s scratch event following a sudden-death playoff with Stephen Creed (Stratford-on-Avon) after both players shot rounds of 72 and 74 for two over-par totals.
There was a three-way tie for third place as Castle Eden-based Stuart Brown, David Land (Hanbury Manor) and Arwel Roberts (Dyke) posted four over-par totals.
