Teams from across Yorkshire have progressed to the next round of this year’s Club Team Championship following the Third Division Championship at Teesside Golf Club.
Hillsborough’s Adam Denton (66-71), Greg Denton (72-65) and Chris Hall (74-75) led the way with a nine under-par total as Teesside’s Dan Norman, Steve Fox and Rhys Nelson finished second on six over-par. Meanwhile, Sitwell Park’s Nyle Challinor shot nine under-par to lead the individual scoring.
The leading seven teams – Hillsborough, Teesside, Selby, Thirsk & Northallerton, Sickleholme, Rudding Park and Sand Moor – will progress to the Second Division Championship at Bradford on July 8, where they will join the 14 teams already qualified for the event from last season.
