Hickleton Golf Club’s team of Tom Stanley, Lee Hopwood and Tom Little topped the leaderboard in the Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs’ Fourth Division Championship at Bondhay.
The Hickleton team combined for a 36-hole, three-player total of 42 over-par as Bradford’s team finished second, eight shots back. Meanwhile, Sickleholme’s Ollie Smith topped the induvial standings with his five over-par total.
The leading seven teams – Hickleton, Bradford, Sickleholme, Easingwold, Cleveland, Dore & Totley, and Sand Moor – will progress to the Third Division Championship at Otley on June 25, where they will join the 14 teams already qualified for the event from last season.
