The Harrogate & District Union of Golf Clubs’ men’s team has lifted the Yorkshire Inter-District Union league trophy for the first time.
With six wins to open their 2026 campaign, and despite a final-day defeat by Sheffield, the Harrogate team – representing the smallest of Yorkshire’s eight district unions and just 13 golf clubs – got their hands on the trophy for the first time in the league’s 39-year history with 12 match points from seven matches as the Teesside union finished second with five wins this season.
