The junior team from Harrogate Golf Club will represent Yorkshire in England Golf’s Junior Champion Club event having won the county’s Junior Teams Championship at The Oaks.
The Harrogate team – Thomas Crouse (39 points), Fletcher Ball (39 points) and Ted Crosland (31 points) – led the field of eight teams, which had won a place in the event having won their respective district qualifiers, with a score of 78 points in the best two from three format. Kirkbymoorside’s team finished second with 75 points, while Middlesbrough Golf Club’s team finished third with 73 points.
Meanwhile, Charlie Bradshaw (Kirkbymoorside) led the individual scoring with 40 points.
The Harrogate trio will go on to represent Yorkshire in the national finals at Woodhall Spa on August 11-12.
