Harrogate entrepreneurs launch Metric Golf Club at The Lenz building on Hornbeam Park

A new golf and community venue is set to open in Harrogate following the signing of a lease at The Lenz building on Hornbeam Park.

Metric Golf Club, founded by Harrogate businessman Martin Brailsford alongside PGA professional Ollie White, will transform more than 6,900sqft of vacant office space into a golf performance club designed to help golfers of all ages and abilities improve their game.

The venue will feature six state-of-the-art indoor golf simulator bays, a dedicated coaching and fitting studio, short-game practice facilities, strength and conditioning space, a members’ lounge, coffee bar, and community events area.

Martin said: “Golf is changing, and more people want flexible, year-round access to high-quality facilities that fit around work and family life. We wanted to create something that combines the best parts of a modern clubhouse with the latest technology and coaching, while building a genuine community around getting better at golf. Harrogate has an incredible golfing population and we believe Metric Golf Club can become a destination for golfers across the region.”

Co-founder and PGA professional Ollie White added: “Our goal is simple – to create the best environment in Yorkshire for golfers to improve. Whether someone is a complete beginner, a talented junior or a scratch golfer, we want them to have access to the same high-quality coaching, technology and facilities.”

The venue is expected to open later this year. For further information, visit www.metricgolf.club
