Getting on line

Starting putts off the line you’ve chosen can only raise your scores. There are two main causes for this: an incorrect stroke path or an unstable clubface.

This drill is a great way to find the path the putter should be on and to concentrate on maintaining a stable clubface.

Set up two lines of tees either side of your putter’s head and practice putting without hitting the tees – you’ll soon find a ‘straight back and through’ motion.
