George Cooper wins under-16 boys’ trophy at the Sir Henry Cooper Junior Championships

Doncaster-based George Copper picked up the trophy for the leading player under the age of 16 at the Sir Henry Cooper Junior Championships at Kings Hill Golf Club.

George shot rounds of 67, 71 and 68 for a four under-par total in the 54-hole event – which is a World Amateur Golf Ranking tournament and part of The R&A’s selection process for Great Britain & Ireland under-18 teams.

The overall boys’ title was won by Ben Sessions (Bishops Stortford) with a nine under-par score, while Millie Potter (Chippenham) won the girls’ event with a one over-par total.
