Richmond-based Gary Catt topped the leaderboard in the Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs’ Seniors’ Amateur Championship at Wetherby Golf Club.
Gary led the field with rounds of 75 and 70 for a one under-par total – including playing the final seven holes in four under-par on day two – to beat Pontefract & District’s Andrew Wiltshire (74-73) by two shots as Knaresborough’s Ian Backhouse finished third.
Gary will go on to represent Yorkshire in England Golf’s Senior Men’s County Champion of Champions at Woodhall Spa on September 12-13.
