Garmin has released its Trends in Golf Data Report, which highlights global trends from golfers who used Garmin products in 2025.
Insights from the Garmin Golf app show that participation in the sport is up while player data shows improvement in nearly every shot category, and the number of Garmin golfers who participate in other athletic activities has also increased.
Key takeaways from the report include that six months after registering a Garmin launch monitor, users saw an average score improvement of 4.4 strokes. Meanwhile, the number of Garmin golfers under the age of 20 increased by 76% in 2025, while golfers between the ages of 20-29 grew by 53%. Garmin golfers hit the fairway 37% of the time – the PGA Tour median in 2025 was 59% – while the median handicap for Garmin golfers was 14.
